Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie was recently honored with the 2025 Storm Water HERO Award by the Storm Water Quality Division of the City and County of Honolulu for its dedication to environmental stewardship through the “Adopt the Block” clean-up program.
Launched in October 2021, this initiative reflects the Lodge’s commitment to keeping Honolulu’s neighborhoods clean and promoting environmental responsibility. Twice a year, members of the Lodge come together to clean designated sections along Kinau Street and areas surrounding Cartwright Neighborhood Park, helping to reduce pollution, improve stormwater quality, and enhance the local community.
The award was proudly accepted on behalf of the Lodge by Worshipful Brother Dino Montalbo, PM, Master of Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie, and Worshipful Brother Christopher Pang, PM. Their leadership and the collective efforts of Lodge members demonstrate the profound impact of Masonic values in action, fostering both community service and environmental sustainability.
Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie remains committed to continuing its clean-up efforts and inspiring others to take part in preserving Hawaii’s natural beauty for future generations.
