Recently, Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie had the distinct honor of raising Brother Scotty Watkins, a momentous occasion that not only highlights his personal journey but also celebrates the rich legacy of the Watkins family in Freemasonry.
Scotty, who is the son of our own Lodge member Scotty Watkins and the grandson of esteemed Freemason Steve Watkins, was originally initiated and passed in Orange Grove Lodge No. 293, his Mother Lodge in Orange County, California. His path into Freemasonry has been paved by the remarkable example set by his family, who have left an indelible mark on Hawaii Freemasonry.
The evening of the raising was filled with camaraderie and reverence as members gathered to witness this significant milestone in Brother Scotty’s Masonic journey. The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the values we hold dear, emphasizing brotherhood, growth, and the commitment to service.
As Brother Watkins takes this next step in his Masonic life, he carries with him the proud heritage of his family. The Watkins family’s contributions to our lodge and the broader Masonic community have been invaluable, and we are excited to see how Scotty will continue this legacy in the years to come.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Brother Scotty Watkins on his raising, and we look forward to supporting him as he embarks on this new chapter within our fraternity. Here’s to the continued growth and strength of Lodge Le Progres de l’Oceanie, enriched by the legacy of the Watkins family!
