Lodge Le Progres de L’Oceanie recently held its Second Biennial Masonic Lodge Cleanup on Saturday, May 29th, 2021. The brethren of Lodge Le Progres de L’Oceanie came together to perform a much-needed deep cleaning of the Honolulu Masonic Temple property, which included pressure washing outdoor areas, restrooms, and kitchen space, vacuuming carpeted areas and fabric chairs, cleaning windows and doors, cleaning dining facilities, dusting fans and display cases and general cleaning of the kitchen facilities (including the polishing of stainless steel). All of the equipment and supplies used during the lodge cleanup were purchased and provided for by individual brothers. As an organization, Lodge Le Progres de L’Oceanie did not spend any funds on the lodge cleanup.
Thank you to all of the Masonic brethren of Lodge Le Progres de L’Oceanie who took the time to join us, and who take pride in properly maintaining our Masonic Temple. Our predecessors invested a tremendous amount of time, energy, and resources to build our Masonic facilities, which many other Masonic organizations utilize as well. The brethren of Lodge Le Progres de L’Oceanie will always feel the weight of our responsibility, as well as our debt to those who came before us. We believe that the proper maintenance of our property and facilities to be a sign of respect, not only to those who have passed on, but also to our active kupuna as well as ourselves.
